What to Expect

Upon arrival, your pet will be evaluated by our triage team to ensure they are stable for urgent care. Patients are seen based on medical need, so wait times may vary depending on the urgency of all cases currently in the hospital.

After the initial assessment, one of our veterinarians will perform a complete examination, discuss diagnostic and treatment recommendations, and provide an estimate before proceeding with care.

Many urgent care patients are treated and discharged the same day with instructions for follow-up care through their primary care veterinarian. If your pet requires hospitalization, advanced diagnostics, surgery, or specialty care, our team can coordinate a seamless transition within PVESC whenever appropriate.

COMPASSIONATE CARE WHEN YOU NEED IT MOST

When your regular veterinarian isn’t available, you can count on PVESC to provide experienced, compassionate care for your pet. Our urgent care team is here to help you navigate unexpected illnesses and injuries, giving your pet the attention they need while helping you avoid an unnecessary emergency room visit whenever possible.
