Dr. Epple is a Colorado native and grew up moving cows on horseback on the plains. This upbringing fostered a fascination with working animals, and she earned a degree in microbiology from Colorado State University, then stayed to complete her veterinary education there. She then completed doctoral studies in molecular and cellular biology with an emphasis in cancer immunotherapeutics while honing fundamental clinical skills practicing emergency medicine. She has tried management, research, and teaching, but her true passion has always been rooted in saving animals with her hands. For this reason, she moved to Maine to pursue a residency in veterinary surgery.
In her downtime, Dr. Epple enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, grilling, and spending time with her spouse and two cats – Soup and Singe.
