Dr. Jill Anderson, a native Mainer, earned her undergraduate degree from Smith College before coming back to Maine to work at Brewer Vet Clinic. She then went on to complete her veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania, after which she completed a 1-year rotating internship at CARES in Langhorne, PA. Following her internship, she worked as an emergency veterinarian in the Philadelphia area for 3 years, where she fell in love with performing a variety of emergency soft tissue surgeries. Deciding to pursue this love, she completed surgical specialty internships at BluePearl Levittown and PVESC prior to starting her surgical residency at PVESC. While Dr. Anderson loves the unique set of challenges that all surgeries can bring, she has a particular interest in thoracic surgery, fracture repair, and minimally invasive surgeries.
Outside of work, she enjoys running and hiking with her 2 rescue pups (River and Maple), curling up with a good book with her 2 cats (Buckeye and Silas), and caring for her ever-growing collection of plants.
