Margaret (Megan) Duckett is a native New Englander, originally from Rhode Island. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics at The University of Rhode Island. Departing from the smallest state, she pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in the smallest province, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Following graduation, Dr. Duckett completed a one-year rotating internship at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She then completed a one-year specialty internship in medical oncology at Oregon State University (OSU). Dr. Duckett continued her training at OSU, completing a three-year residency and attaining board certification in veterinary medical oncology.

Dr. Duckett is dedicated to assisting families facing a pet’s cancer diagnosis. She enjoys offering owners a thorough understanding of diagnostic and treatment options. Given the continuous advancements in veterinary oncology, Dr. Duckett appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with owners, tailoring an optimal plan that suits both them and their beloved pets.

Dr. Duckett and her husband are thrilled to be back on the East Coast. Their household includes a newborn baby girl, two Canadian cats, Elton and Mr. Business, along with a big scruffy dog named Archibald Mudflaps. In her leisure time, Dr. Duckett enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking, gardening, kayaking, and socializing. Maine offers an abundance of outdoor adventures and she’s looking forward to further exploring the area.
