Marta Agrodnia, DVM, DACVS-SA Surgery

Dr. Marta Agrodnia completed her surgical residency at Michigan State University. She has been practicing soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgery ever since. After completing additional training in oncologic surgery at Colorado State University, Dr. Agrodnia continued to advance her skills working in a practice in Michigan with 3 oncologists and a neurosurgeon. Dr. Agrodnia has extensive experience in the various disciplines of small animal surgery and has been practicing small animal veterinary surgery in Portland Maine since 2008. Dr. Agrodnia is the proud owner of Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care, the only non-corporate multi-specialty referral hospital in Maine.  

A self-professed lover of all animals, Marta Agrodnia lives in Maine with her husband, four children, cats, dogs, and horses. She has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1997 and has only done specialty and emergency work. “I love being a veterinary surgeon because every day I have the opportunity to make both animal and human lives better.”
