Heidi Sproul, VMD, DABVP, Emergency

Dr. Heidi Sproul was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine as a way to combine her love of animals and medicine. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Sproul completed a small animal rotating internship in Northern Virginia. Beginning at Penn, and continuing through her internship, Dr. Sproul’s passion for critical care and emergency medicine continued to grow.

Dr. Sproul spent 15 years between two large veterinary referral hospitals in the Chicago area, gaining continued knowledge and experience. Along the way, she earned diplomat status of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

When not at work, she enjoys her chaotic life with her daughter and husband. They also have a dog, cat, adopted pony, five sheep, and eight chickens.

Dr. Heidi Sproul is a definite asset to Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care’s Emergency and Critical Care Team.
